Default I hate M$ Outlook!

Well, I'm still recouping from loosing my outlook.pst file. I thought it was just a virus that could be cleaned out of it, but seems that part of the 1.4GB PST file is having difficulties copying over or even opening up due to a CRC error. I really wish there were a more efficient way of storing email, especially when ALL of it is corrupted and not just one little portion. UGH!

So, my apoligies for not responding to emails in the last few days. I'm getting things back in order now, and should be getting to them any moment now.

Never used the POS. Enough virii are propagated through it to make it not worth my while. Eudora has always perfomed admirably for me.

Actually... I did use it briefly which is why I know I don't like it.

Hey man - I don't know if you've treid it yet, but you could attmept using the 'Inbox Repair Tool' that microsoft has in one of it's resource kits..

I've had that problem before MANY times, and it alway seems to work (tech-support, baby!)

How about some links:

Uh Yea! Microsoft recommends not going over 250 MB in a PST file. I think your over. I am a systems admin @ autotrader.com and I recommend users start new PST files every so often. Saves me headaches.

That Inbox Repair Tool sucks but so does MS Outlook. I can't believe it didn't blow up long before 1.4GB. Have you ever read ANY of your e-mails?

I just switched computers and tried to import my .pst file to no avail. I tried as many variations as I knew how and the new computer says that I don't have permission to open the file.

I applied a security patch to outlook, and now I can't get .exe files in my attachments. I know it's a safety measure, but isn't there a way to disable that!!!!
