Default I need ebay advice

I sold a nissan front clip on ebay in febuary. The guy paid promptly and said he would arrange for shipping soon. That was febuary. This is almost June. He still hasnt picked it up. He also isnt answering my emails.

What should i do? I dont have the money to refund the payment, and even if i did, my parents have been badgering me because i left it in their driveway this whole time. I'm tempted to just keep it and tell the guy he is out of luck if he ever gets around to contacting me agian, but that seems kinda like a dick move on my part.

I would attempt to contact him again. Let him know that the item is now his and it is being stored at your location. Tell him that you will be charging him for storage of the item if he does not arrange for shipping in 3 days. Or simply tell him that due to the length of time and the numerous attempts to contact him that you will consider it abandoned property and will relist it in 3 days. You've done your part in listing the item and attempting to make contact. The ball has been in his court for too long, I think you need to take control back and tell him what's going to happen. Make sure you print all conversations and questions with this person for reference later if he chooses to claim that he contacted you. Good luck .

You have his address? the best thing for you to do is protect yourself and send him a registered letter stating the situation and what you intend to do about it. In the letter offer him a last chance to pick the clip up. If he does not respond relist it and sell it.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, if you do not have his address contact ebay support and tell them whats going on. They will provide you with his address.

what those guys said..... then sell the thing to the next guy.

that happened with a set of seats that i sold on this site..... one guy paid me about a year ago....he stopped posting here soon after i sold him the seats...... i sent him numerous emails but got no where....

so I recently resold the seats and moved on....

Wait till he can't leave any feedback on you then consider the deal a dead issue... I mean he did pay you.

I'm pretty sure ebay has a policy in place for this type of scenario. There is a statute of limitations on transactions conducted on their website, so contact their customer support and see what they have to say. That way anything you do will still fall within ebay rules.

You can only leave feedback for 90 days after the transaction, so make sure you wait until you relist it to avoid any retaliatory negative feedback.

How did he pay? If he payed by Paypal, he may file a dispute saying you never shipped his item after receiving payment. Paypal has been known to take funds from bank accounts before, so be careful. I would agree with the others who said to contact Ebay and inform them of the situation. They should be able to help you out. Good luck and let us know what happens.
