Find out the law. Get the title as is and have her fill out a bill of sale to you. You make out the bill of sale and have her sign it. Have the bill of sale say that she bought the car but did not end up driving it so she never registered it.

I don't think you'd need her to register it.

If you can get the title signed by her, and a bill of sale with her sig you should be good.

My boyfriend flips cars a lot, and he always does this.

The way I see it is:

The title is already signed by her. There are only two blanks on the title, one for each of two parties. She needs to get a new title to sign over to the OP.

Is that correct?
