Just curious. If you had a friend that was in banking, would you find their profession boring? I've never thought banking was boring, but I've had people give me the "not interested" look when I tell them I'm in treasury management. Kinda suprises me.

 

a good freiend was visiting and congratulated me on my new job but was also saying my new company was in negotiations for a sales situation. warrent act and all that. i dont consider banking peeps boring now.

your friend might also be aware of his other interests that round out his life.

 

Some banking jobs could be boring so you may want to elaborate on what exactly it is that you do when asked.

 

And I thought there was going to be some kind of link to a security of a bank exec banging a young teller chick or something...

^ ... that would have made the thread a little more interesting. Anyway, my brother is in banking, and yes, I think his job is boring. Then again, not many jobs are too interesting IMO.

 

Not many jobs are considered cool

I have a friend who is an ER doc, I happen to think it's a pretty cool exciting job, to him it's just "work" Through work I just met somebody who is a 777 pilot, again to me that is a really cool job, to him "it's just work"

now, I was at a destination wedding recently. Of course as people gather from around the country they all try to compare their jobs. I don't expect anybody to get giddy about investment management (my job) but we were all put in our place by the F-15 pilot who is my friends' former roomate

i'm in IT now and it can be boring but some of my friends think what i do is amazing

server management for our top customers nationwide

 

I think a lot of people find "office" type jobs (or any job that doesn't a level of athleticism or celebrity) boring.
