I had the same problem and ltweintz (Luke) told me to install adaware.......it worked...that was about a month ago.....hes an IT manager and knows other ways to get rid of it....PM him if anything

I had the same problems and the firewall helps, but doesn't solve all problems. You'll have to get ad-ware or spybot, both fixed my pop-ups.

You can go into the registry, which it seems a lot of these are. Also check your cookie folder.

I have been dealing with that on a lot of the computers I work on. First thing to do is go to "run" type in "msconfig" (this works on win 98,ME,and XP, but not 2000 but you can download it for 2000.

Anyway, go to the startup tab and uncheck everything except critical programs such as Antivirus and task scheduler. You can restart the computer several times to see what stopped what from starting in your task bar.

As with what they said above, you can go into the registry with regedit, but be careful in there...you could remove something that is critical to your computer functioning.
