Stop looking online for answers, go to the doctor, even if you've diagnosed it correctly and it is your kidney and you've passed your kidney stone, the cause may still be present and another stone can build up. Go see a doc.

Aren't you the same guy who kept asking us(A bunch of dorks on a Car Site) if you should see a chiropractor or not?

If it gets worse - go see a doctor. If it goes away - your just crazy.

Oh, and thats my professional opinion.

Yeah, that was me, and I did go to a chiropractor. Ice packs 3-4 times a day for a week, and it got better. Inflammation went away, and problem was solved.

Aside from the few nut cases. I honestly believe that there are very intelligent people on this board. Thanks for those that chimed in.

I had my appointment with the doc this morning. After the consultation, he was going to excuse the matter as a pulled muscle or back strain. I told him I'd feel much more comfortable doing a urine test, xrays... He said he would do a urine test, and if necessary I will have to take a blood test. So I peed in a cup, and few minutes later the nurse came to me and said. "you need to go take a blood test "RIGHT NOW", and the doctor will call you. I am more scared of needles than anyone I know. The sad part is she didn't tell me why, or was it just because they found blood in my urine. I went to the lab, got a blood test, then drove back to the x-ray place, and took my x-rays.

Here's the part I didn't understand. The girl that took my x-ray's wouldn't give me any information. I don't have medical insurance, so I was paying cash for everything. If I paid to have an x-ray done, I should be able to see the x-rays.

The doctor didn't call today, probably because he hasn't gotten the lab results. It really sucks not knowing whats wrong with you. My pain seems to get worse through the day.

Stay strong, have faith. In God and in the Doctors. Do exactly what they tell you to, literally.

I've been where you are. hopefully your kidneys are not failing, but if they are, it is not the end of the world for you.

if you want at least a little good news, if your kidneys are failing and you have to go on dialysis, you are eligible for medicare. While it costs $90 per month, it is invaluable.

yea, medicare is for old people, but if you get End Stage Renal Disease, you are eligible. Even though I have other insurance, I have medicare, too. It's great because most insurance has lifetime limits of coverage, but not medicare. Having medicare is saving me from spending lots toward my insurance limits.

as for them not letting you see the xrays, that is strange. you have the RIGHT to see them.

She is not legally authorized to give you the results. Only a physician or a physican extender can do that. eg, you get a MRI scan for possibility of cancer. Do you really want the Xray tech(who has no true cancer expertise) to tell you "Yeah its cancer alright".

Kidney stone info

I've had 2 kidney stone in the past 8 years (1 just 3 months ago) Hurts like hell
like some punching hard into your lower back

So many causes. If you go to a hospital it will be THOUSANDS of dollars
3 hours cost me $10500
they will ask you to a Urine test - to see if there is blood in urine
Xray or CT scan

maybe they'll send you out to a urologist - more money
Dr. office might order are 24 hour urine test - to see what is being processed - that test was bill to me for $978 and NO ONE would say how much the test was, I asked 3 times- was told its not that much. Compared to what a CT scan $5000

Drink lots of water

good luck

UPDATE********

Almost two grand and three weeks later. I've done a urine test, blood test, and even a CT scan. They say everything came out fine. So far they only have my preliminary CT Scan results (Whatever that means).

What I'm wondering is how good at CT scans at detecting problems. It's probably not stones, so maybe a UTI.
