Seems like this is starting to be a trend. People who write about themselves bc they think people care. It was bad enough Tucker max did it and made money but seriously google this - there are so many people doing this now. Before u know it, there will be so many that people will only read the ones that r on tv commercials and etc.

Goodluck.

I admire your idea, and wish you luck with your journey

But, I have to agree with the creative writing class comment..

It has potential though!!

Reads like blog material at first. However, you could probably turn your experiences into a fictional/semi-autobiographical novel or collection of stories. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining stuff. It depends on what your motive is.

yeah, I havent read his book, but I have read the synopsis, this would be more of an inside look at being a current pilot, as opposed to just stories of debauchery

G'luck on getting a book deal. These days, everyone wants a book deal for their own reasons.

Most of the comments from the other members are right. It can be an entertaining read, but without core verifiable details, this will no doubt remain in the fiction section of things, no matter how close of a reference in real life it gets.

I have a few friends in the airlines business and you no doubt are highlighting the "glamorous" side of the business. Which is also the same fuel that spurs things like the mile-high club and flight attendants with a horny passion of in likes of a growing puberty boy.

You're better off focusing your publication, if it's just for shits and giggles on here. You no doubt will make a name for yourself. And will trickle down to other forums of all likes.

Looking forward to the rest of your chapters. That would no doubt be a foreword, prologue, rather than chapter 1 of a very very thin storybook.

As a 28 y/o airline pilot, I'd be more interested in reading how you:

Military? For how long?

Acquired enough hours prior to your PPL

What age you acquired your PPL

How many hours it took to receive your multi endorsement

How you went about jet cert

How many years you flew commuters

What age you began flying jets

What type of aircraft you fly now & your TT

What's your education?

If you wrote this book well, I think it would be successful. You are basically exposing the airline industry while providing entertaining stories.

However, whistleblowers always get screwed in the end. Therefore, I really think it must be anonymous, although with some basic details (your home hub and airline) I am sure the airline will figure out who wrote the book.

You should do it, but you need professional help to avoid getting screwed for lack of a better term, and more importantly reaping the maximum financial benefits!
