I have an '01 with 175,000 miles on it: no engine work.

I just came home from running errands. At the last stop light before my house I set my trip to 0.0. I rolled off the line sedately and ran it up to redline in first and second; when the trip hit 0.1 I was doing about 70 mph.

There you go. Unless yours has anything close to 175,000 miles, it's going to accelerate quicker.

Find another tack.

[QUOTE=magician,Dec 2 2009, 01:19 PM] I know that acceleration's not constant.
