Default Infomercials

I'm watching this thing on Speedvision, it's a product called "Durashine", its claim is that it's such a great protectant of the paint, you don't ever need to dry your car again! It repels water like Moses. and it even repels LASER!!!

So here's my question: Have you EVER purchased anything from any type of infomercials?

I'll volunteer: I have bought, on 2 occassions ->Prolong and the Ab Master.

Mingster, I was just watching that too! I was thinking, WTF why the hell would they use a laser to show how good of a protectant their polish is?

I ordered a Billy Bass as a gag for a friend but they never sent it I just ended up on 50000 mailing lists so I called and told them to remove me from their list and cancel my order (placed like 12 weeks earlier). It's really upsetting that they got my name, CC number and address. It was a scam. I'll stick to the internet from now on. At least if I place an order there I know that the cert is valid and their corp documents are on file. Over the phone you have no idea where/who you are dealing with.

I won't do that again.

I saw the Bowflex in an infomercial and bought one. I don't think you can get all buffed from using it, but it's good enough to stay in shape.

Okay, I've been really tempted by this Ronco set it and forget thing. That is, until I saw one in person. It didn't look as solid in person, and I could see it requires a while to get it clean after you use it. I mean the one I saw had food stains coming out and along the sides of the door. Hmmm, I'd still want one though
I've bought a tile/shower cleaner (restore 4 or something like that) and it didn't work worth a damn! Since I've been burnt by this purchase, if I see something I like, I really look over the product and see the potential flaws. I haven't purchased anything other than that first purchase (knock on wood!).

I bought a Rotozip during a 3 am infomercial and have been using it for years. For those who own one, they'll agree it's the best and quickest way to cut installed drywall (among other things).
