It won't work with Verizon since they utilize CDMA technology. The iPhone currently only works on GSM platforms (at&t). Also, T-Mobile and other regional carriers use GSM platforms, but the iPhone is "locked" and can only be used on at&t's network unless you have your iPhone unlocked - but still, some applications may not work...
From what I know, everything works except visual voice mail, as thats AT&T only.

How convenient that my sprint contract expires on July 11th. Start new job next week and they have agreed to get me an iphone. Now I just have to wait for the next month.
If you are with sprint then this is something you might want to consider. Samsung instinct, it releases this june 20th.

Count me in on the 3G. My wife and I will be switching from Verizon for this one unless connection speed reviews are horrible.

I've also heard that the 3G data plan is priced at $30/mo, rather than the old iPhone data plan of $20/mo.

Any of you IPhoners using any sort of utility to connect to your Blackberry Enterprise Server at work?

It's the only thing keeping me from switching over from the RIM lineup
