I was a Crackberry addict for many years. I now have an iPhone, I only love the web browser. The network is blah, and I have no motivation to type on it like I did my BB. But then again my 2 year old figured out the iPhone in less than 10 minutes. So usability sells I guess.

There won't be an iphone killer. Like a virus, Apple infected the masses, and it is now THE staple. Even if the greatest MP3 player came out, the ipod will be king until the mp3 is dead.

In this game, first one in, wins. It also helps that the iphone is a phenomenal piece of kit. The iphone is like xbox live....it's THE phone, and due to contracts, and loyalties, and sheer number of members/buyers it will be impossible to dethrone. This is very evident if you look around....all applications, cars, etc are now being specifically developed to work specifically with iphones.

I've owned a few BBerries before, and IMHO, there is no contest. The ONLY reason to own a blackberry is for their instant email, which means you need to use THEIR email servers (@bb.com) otherwise, it's just a slow, oversized brick. The iphone is better in every single way with the exception of emails. If you need your email instantly, get a blackberry, otherwise, no contest.

I had a BB Curve which was great but no contest compared to the iPhone. The only thing I liked about the BB was my ability to text much faster.

The G1 looks like cheap hardware and software.

A lot of so called iPhone killers and iPod killers have come and gone.

I'm not an Apple fan boy if anything a PC and Google fan boy, the iPhone is the first Mac product I have owned and used ever and it's fantastic!

1. iPhone
2. BB Bold

The rest doesn't even matter

There should be a magazine called iPhone Killer - it could easily feature a new device each month.

My 3g was the first iPhone to crack our corporate barrier. I was the happy guinea pig. Works great for calendar & e-mail through Exchange. I'm even getting some deep folder access that the Blackberry users are scrambling to figure out how to duplicate.

In the last week I've seen three other execs ordering iPhones since I proved it'll work here. I predict a real power struggle in the office soon.
