Thumbs down ipod or electronics people

wasssssup

maybe you can help me i have not much of a clue

im looking for a cranking ipod dock at or under $100.00 with BASS.

i researched for hours and ended up choosing the iPig

clicky for iPig

not because it looks like a pig, but because it had good bass reviews i thought.

ANYWAY i thought it was important for the dock to not have a plug as it will be transported sometimes.

speakal said this:

Dear Tina;

The black iPig is a plug-in not battery supported due to the power and quality of sound. The iPig is compact with defining technology (amplifier, tweeters, midrange speakers, airflow optimizer, bass reflex...) and with almost 25 Watts of power, it makes it impossible to operate only on a battery. The iPig will play and charge all your iPods with dock connection and iPhone too.

Thank you
is there truth to that? can i not get a cranking one without a plug?

i guess the question is, is it possible to have sweet sound and bass just using batteries? or are they right?

Aahhhh. I remember the 80s. I had a big boom box (this one is a modern interpretation with iPod dock).

I also had stonewashed jeans with the cuffs rolled skinny.

If you want to power a big system, you can do it with batteries... it just takes a crapload of large batteries....

Check out iLounge.com. I have bought a number of products based on the reviews/recommendations. The buying guide is top-notch, IMO.
