Does anyone know where I can get help for my iPod? It used to download/update itself automatically whenever I download new songs when I plug it into my computer, but now its doesnt auto update itself anymore. I didnt change any settings.

go to an apple store and ask an apple genius, or call one. Sometime's it's better to make an appointment unless you go in the middle of the day. Their services are free. You can make the apointments on apple.com

This is not a joke. Apple genius(s) are apple reps that give tech support and have helped me a couple of times when I was in a bind.

There's an option on your iTunes to auto update. Did you check to make sure it's still active? Can you import songs to your iPod by dragging them?

How old is the Ipod?

Whenever they do software updates and change something, they update the older models when they feel like it. Nice way to treat the first adopters of your new product.

Well, that's not a very logical argument. It could be some Windows or other peripheral update that broke the auto-update.

The first thing I'd do is make sure the iTunes preferences for the iPod are set properly, then look and see if the iPod shows up on your computer at all. If it does, do a software reset through iTunes or the iPod Updater software on your computer.

If you don't even see the iPod on your computer, try it on another computer and see if it shows up. You may have a system issue that's causing the problem if the iPod shows up fine on another computer.

If the iPod doesn't show up on any computers, write back with the specific model.

When in iTunes (I assume you are using latest version 7) click on your ipod under devices. There, in summary tab, you will see an option "manually manage music and videos" make sure it is unchecked in order for your ipod to update automatically.

If it is unchecked verify that "Sync music" checkbox is checked under music tab.

If all the songs you have are on your computer then it's not a problem. It'll reload all the songs off your computer into the iPod.
