It's not sporty enough...

 

I like the IS300 Sedan more than I like the Sportcross, I don't like the looks of it. Doesn't the 5spd come in the Sportcross? A guy I work with has a black IS300 and he hates the Sportcross. He's not very happy that they came out with a wagon version of his car.

I sold my s2000 and got an IS300 sedan. I need the extra room for my job. I really like the car. Obviously, it's a different car than the s2k, but it handles really well. PM if you have any questions.

 

I have driven a few all Auto but the back end is pretty easily brought around. It is good and bad, i was turning right at about 15 mph and then floored it and the back came around a little bit and then corrected. This was on a test drive and the salesman was yelling at me to slow down. I told him I was only going 15-20. He didn't talk the rest of the ride until I got back to the dealership and he said did I want to sign here I then said no thank you goodbye.

I'm not trying to bash anyone or anything, just pointing out what I thought were some interesting numbers. However, you can see that for example, it's no wonder why you don't see any TL-S at Autocross. And the IS300 will not win any stoplight drags against a LOT of cars...

 

I was looking at these when I got my S2k...

Sportcross is kind of ugly I think. The wagon part is too sloped. Looks droopy like a Impreza/WRX wagon.

I drove the IS in a 5-speed. I thought it was a nice car, but not as fast as my Prelude SH. Its really a different car than a S2k. If I was going get a car like that I would take a 330 in a heartbeat over the IS. Its a helluva lot better car.

 

For the braking and skidpad numbers, the OEM tires have a lot to do with the performance.

I really like the SC430. . .sweet! There's one here in town but the driver is way too snooty to even talk to. . .I've tried!
