Jay-z is easily the Best lyricist Ever. Ever. e v e r. I'd say only lupe fiasco is better, and thats just because some of his stuff is almost impossible to understand its worded with so many metaphors and such, and his content is a little thicker than jays. But jay has the status and he earned it, so he gets the title, easy.


Has anyone heard kanye's "Everything I am" or "Big brother"? two of his best songs ever made. I think the cd is great, but those two will go down as his best.

Lupe Fiasco is a one hit wonder who did not even show up to his performance at Street Scene last year, which I attended and saw Kanye, and was disgusted by his performance which he had to stop mid show because he forgot the words to his own song. He also complained about the lighting the entire show (####ing diva). Go ahead and listen to your trendy POP crap, people like you are the reason REAL Hip hop does not get any radio play.
