The older I get the more I agree with this statement. (well sort of)

I was a rap fanatic from the beginning through the infancy of gangsta when The Iceberg album came out and loved what PE was doing but then it just got really stupid to me. So I drifted to mellow stuff and liked guys like Speech from Arrested Development because he had something to say.

Now it all strikes me as dumb. Sure some if it has a good beat that sets a good vibe at a club, but buy it and play it in the car? No.


MOst of todays hip hop artists bring one song to mind:

Kanye acts like such a spoiled princess.

 

I dig Kanye but dislike the way he handles himself, he definitely comes across as a prick. There aren't very many rap artists out their that can actually produce their own tracts let alone rap. There music is definitely more mainstream/popish but all there worried about is sales and making their wallet fatter, why would they totally jump ship and start losing money by going back to making original hip hop music, would you if you were in their position?? You can't actually say he sucks since he has won a grammy, has produced #1 hits for himself and hits for other artists as well. Is he the best, hell no, is jay z the best artist, i'd have to say no to that also, but jay z is definitely a very smart business man who topped the forbes list as the richest hip hop artist of last year pocketing $43mill.

Eazy E is probably the most hardcore ganster rapper ever.

he is the father of westcoast rap. he started dr. dre's musical career and founded ruthless records all on drug money alone. Additionally, he died a hardcore death - he died of aides in a hospital because he ****ed too many bitches lol. none of his songs whined about the police, to him the police were more of an annoyance. ez is a true innovator and made something outta nothing. many artist can attribute their success to eazy ie bong thugs, dr dre, warren g, ice cube, mac 10, hell even snoop.

eastcoast rap sucks. kanye is a good producer but terrible lyracist. same goes for jayz. Jayz best song was money aint a thing and thats cuz jay d was on it.

I love the girl, and that's my problem. Typically I do respond back...way too quickly, and way too desperately. I'm trying to make myself better by not sounding like a needy tool, hence the reason I'm waiting at least three hours before I respond.

It's more complicated than it seems. She lives with her boyfriend, they just had a baby...

personally, i like mid-west and east coast rap over west coast rap.

i still like west coast rap too though, and definitely better than the southern rap stuff.
