War is hell! But without wars, humans wouldn't be human.

Just finished watching another episode. 2 thumbs up!

One question: anybody know how large the German population was back then? They seemed to have troops everywhere.

I'm glad I wasn't in that war, or any other war for that matter.

Have you guys seen the episode with the Japanese (Japanese-American) regiment? It was the most highly decorated regiment in the U.S. military history, for its size. They had garnered 21 Medals of Honor, and never retreated or lost a battle. Nice!

There would've been more of those fine soldiers if the government didn't send Japanese-Americans to concentration camp.

Germany definitely suffered...though it was there own doing.

Russia...almost one third of total death. Stalin really did utilize his people to full "use."

Wow! Didn't know the Chinese, Indians, Indonesians, and S.E. Asians lost SO MANY lives at the hands of the Japanese. I always thought the numbers were much lower. On the other hand, France and Britain's lost lives were much lower than I had thought, considering they were right in the middle of Nazi territories.

^^^ Yup, and another fact that this documentary pointed out and many forget is that nazi submarines were right outside Mobile Bay - Gulf of Mexico.
