I know that it handles like a dream and is really tough to beat on a road course. I know it makes 120hp/l and I know it is quick for what it is. But it is no Corvette killer and no RX-7 killer. That's all I'm trying to say.
I can agree with this statement; however, I don't understand why you think magazines are wrong about 1/4 mi times? How can you be wrong about what you've just been timed running? If anything magazines NEVER get the best e/t possible as proven because i've never read an article saying the s2000 was a sub-14 second 1/4 mile car. The same holds true for LS1 camaros that have run sub-13 second 1/4 miles, but magazines have only achieved 13.0 and above. And we have timeslips of s2ks running as low as 13.7 and z28s running high 12s. This is mostly due to to the fact that magazines use brand new cars that aren't broken in.

Unless you can't drive for crap you should really hand me my ass on an autox course. RWD roadster vs FWD coupe. Come on. I know you think I'm stupid, but again, come on. My car isn't exactly an autocross monster.

All I have to say is we all know that there is many different things like weather and what not that can effect the results in a run. I would rather take the word of the magazine test drivers than of some kid. I order to be a test drive you must have racing background, and no back roads don't count

I'll give you an example. I hate the fact that my friend's fiance(e) cheated on him. I do not, however, hate either her or my friend.

They're the cause of your so called hatred, right?
Correct.

Incorrect, please read above.

From my initial response to this thread:

It seems that the majority of Si owners are two things, extremely ignorant and very arrogant.

No.

I've become bored with this subject. Thank you for the insightful conversation. It was... reassuring.

Happy posting.

I'm not saying magazines are wrong so much that they're just not consistent with their times. I've seen as high as 15.1 for the S2000 by Car and Driver, the first time they reviewed it, then I also know about the 13.8 achieved by Motor Trend. That's over a second difference though. So if you read all the mags like I do, you just can't pick a time and decide that's what the car is going to run because you love it. It just doesn't work that way.
