if a random guy were to come up to me and start kissing my ass and groveling at my feet, i'd probably think he was either a creep or a pussy. but if i actually cared about the guy, i'd think a little "ass-kissing" would be really cute and i'd be grateful for it. i'm not telling him to go out and start kissing every girl's ass, i'm just saying that if he really cares about this girl, than it's something he might have to do to make things right after dumping her twice.
you guys have your balls and us girls have our pride/self-respect. none of that gets thrown out the window in a healthy relationship, but if two people care about each other than the guy has to be willing to put his balls on the line a little, and the girl has to be willing to put her pride on the line a little.
you have to vulnerable to people every now and then, the trick is to only let yourself be vulnerable to someone who cares about you. the risk of relationships is not knowing for sure whether that person really cares about you, and whether they'll take advantage of your vulnerability or appreciate that you opened up to them and do the same.

i suppose it sounds sort of shallow... but remember that YOU dumped her, and if you really want her back you're going to have to face the consequences of your actions. a little humiliation for her, and now there's going to be a little humiliation for you. if you're not willing to deal with that, than you obviously don't want her back that bad, move on.
of course, this is all contingent upon whether or not she's worth it.

I'm really not the type to follow a girl for a while and kiss her a$$. I'll cool with doing it for a little bit but if no is no, then no more games you know. I was thinking flowers cause I remember her telling me that never once did a guy ever buy her flowers, so I figured that would be a good idea. Have them delivered to her job or something like that. Buying girls jewelry... never!!!!... unless I've been dating her for a while... so that's out. Writing a letter and sending emails I'm down for.

i was being sarcastic about the tiffany's and the ferrari.but flowers are ALWAYS good. i looooooove getting flowers. that's sad that she's never gotten flowers before.
and e-mails/text messages are so easy, but so effective.
