Default Lease Swap

Has anyone tried or know a few things (pros/cons) about swapalease.com. I'm thinking about giving it a shot, but I wanted to get some opinions/experiences before I paid for the membership. Thanks.

I've looked in to it before when i was considering it with the S2000, make sure to figure out if your current Leasing company allows it. You see American Honda does NOT allow for lease swapping.

Look into it and it just might save you your decision on considering it!

Thanks a lot for the response. I'm actually looking to buy a lease, so I'm not that concerned about the lease company not allowing a transfer. But that's good to know though. Thanks again.

You can purchase the car out right... meaning if you sell the car for the amount of months remaining on your car PLUS the Incentive at the end. For example Let's say your car is $350 a month and you have 11 Months left.. that's $3,850 PLUS let's say you have a $19K incentive at the end if you want to purchase it... so that's $3,850+$19,000=$22,850 to purchase the car. The car might be only worth $18-19K so your stuck with paying the balance.

Might not be worth it. I found that out while trying to get rid of my car. In the end i was very greatful to have found a Dealership who paid off the remaining months on my lease (7) and salesman who knew someone at Honda that just returned the car for me. If not i would have had to pay about $4,000 in difference.. or waitied till the end of my lease term and both of those options would have sucked!

With Sawp-a-Lease it's kinda different most of the time people on that site are looking to take over payments or looking for people to take over payments left on their lease plus a small monetary fee. (Meaning take over my lease plus $1,500.00)

It's all kinda confusing. If I did confuse you let me know what you have question on and i will try to explain myself better.

Bingo.... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's what happened with me. I had a good deal with my Lease as well and ended up needing someone to purchase my S for $23k when mine was a 2002 and was lucky to get $18K for it since at trade in all you'll get is about $17K or so.

Yeah... see my thing is that I got bored of the car around 2 yrs and 1/2.... i started getting the itch for a new car. Well i stuck it out for another year and then finally got my new baby which i had been wanting for a VERY long time.

I had several reasons to why i got bored of the car... the constant change of tires, having my seats stolen, then walking out the house every day hoping my seats were still in the car... I had a LOT of factors. Plus i get the itch around 3 yrs to change cars since my fathers a bad influence... LOL.

Good Luck and ENJOY the car!!!
