Left turn signal in the LEFT LANE! (Long)

Honestly, why bother flashing at all?
I usually assume drivers will *not* get out of my way, so rolling up to people in the left lane, I hang back at least 2 car lengths, and give them a moment to get over. if they do, great, but if not, i don't trouble myself or them and just go around. Most of the time people end up getting over after being passed on the right (maybe they just needed a wakeup call), or they continue on unhindered.
The jackasses who do the brake-slamming for a courteous light-flash need some serious therapy. I had a jackass SUV also try that on me once.. Unfortunately for him, my current car (on the list for a 2002 s2k) is a 99 integra GS-R, w/ jackson racing supercharger, porterfield R4 brake pads, and powerslot rotors, with motul 600 brake fluid.. My car STOPS, as the brake-happy SUV found out. I wasn't about to have him run up my ass, but I did make my point - and gave him a good a scare. However - doing what I did makes me no better than him. Yeah, it felt good, but that's not the safe way to drive.
For the most part, I try to not bother people, even if they're being intentional dicks - if I wanna get over, I'll find a way - I have the car for it. Unless somebody is persistently provoking me, I do my very best not to get emotional about it behind the wheel. And for the idiots that speed up - fine! That's what I wanted them to do anyway!
