IMHO (I can't state that more strongly) Macs have always had a lead in the intuitive user friendly stakes. Now with OSX we've also got all the under the bonnet power of systems like Linux for those that want it.

Macs are still more expensive particularly when compared to backyard built nonames but even when compared to brand names. But I guess it depends what value you put on your time. I run a network of about 20 Macs and 3 PC's and it's the PC's that take up all my maintenance time.

I actually find Windows and in fact most microsoft products pretty easy to use...... I find that once you have learnt on one product, a little bit of common sense makes you able to find your way round most of them.......

I guess the fact that I am not in IT at all and am just an end user could be part of the reason that I don't object as strongly as others ..........

I hear what you guys are sayin' about big macs and windoze...i run xp and home and at work. ossex is cool, i've played w/ my friends laptop thingies and think it's kinda cool. I'm a BSD guy at heart, i just use windoze for trillian...most of my time is spent between that, mozilla for the web and securecrt so i can live my happy life on a freebsd commandline
