My Sister in Law has probably been to 80 to 90% of all Foo concerts. Almost sounds like a stalker to me.

Dave used to spend a few weeks a year in seattle, before he moved to LA. he was always just walking around with the "common" people, very easy guy to talk to. i walked up to him in an Urban Outfitters and he had no prob carrying on a convo with me. very nice guy, we actually talked for quite awhile before he had to get going. asked me where i was from and actually did most of the talking.

anywho, but to topic...

there are/were many bands that can put on 2+ continuous hours of singles.
Dave Matthews Band comes to mind for me. I went to 13 shows between '96-'04 and enjoyed every single one of them (progressively less though because it became "too cool" to like DMB). Even though the jams got ridiculous sometimes (28 minutes of "Lie In Our Graves"), usually you could sing almost all of the songs they played.

[QUOTE]also, have u ever gone to see a techno concert?

I hate it when the crowd cheers during the songs. If I'm at a concert it's because I wanted to hear the band not the crowd.

i don't deny he's a nice guy based on interviews. his music is what's in question.

i'll use the paul mcartney reference. he sold tons of albums in the 70's with the wings more so than the beatles in the 60's. was the songs as good as the beatles, some were, but were the songs greater than the beatles, a definite NO.

There is nothing wrong with pits... I've been to maybe 2 shows where you couldn't easily avoid them if you wanted.
mosh pits in the early 90's was fun and you can actually crowd surf without someone ripping away your shoes, wallet, socks, and it all seem to change in the mid 90's. then the mosh tornando happened where a bunch of morons started spinning in a small circle and started to hit and punch anyone that got in their way. nowadays when i see the 90's acts (radiohead, oasis, beck,) the crowds have gotten older so their creaky bones can't jump anymore so they either stand or sit in the bleachers. in fact the only thing they do that's immature is smoke and they think its cool to do in a show.

If you can't hear the music over a cheering crowd then the band needs to crank it up!
