livestrong bracelets - on eBay?
While it does feel kinda wrong to do it with something that is intended for charitable purposes, you also have to realize that they paid the $1 that will go to charity. The charity isn't losing anything because the bracelets are paid for.
On the other hand, it kinda sucks that people would buy up a bunch of them simple to resell instead of letting everyone get them for the original price.

I dont need a bracelet to show I care.... but its a good cause. So instead of allowing my sister to get the 1 or 2 dollar bracelet I made her donate $15 to a cancer research fund and then bought her the bracelet on my credit card for her.

YEs and no. They are not loosing anything from that bracelet, but if the person bought a new bracelet from the charity rather than this one one ebay then the charity would make more money.

Live strong!
You people are being obtuse. They ARE unavailable. They won't be shipped for 3-4 weeks if you order them now, whereas if you order off eBay, you can get one almost immediately. Since the eBay sellers bought them from the cancer group in the first place, this whole theory that the cancer research foundation is being ripped off if you buy from eBay is silly. The foundation is selling them in bulk for a reason. Whether you give them away for Halloween or sell them on eBay is the same thing. The cancer foundation got their money. Who the hell cares how the bracelets are distributed afterwards? It is not relevant. Why is the foundation selling 1200 count cases if they didn't expect some people to resell them?
If people want to buy a yellow plastic $0.05 bracelet for $1 or $5, what do you care? You are not morally superior simply because you are not making money helping a good cause.
