Some engineers, as bright as they are, lack in common sense. I'm guessing he is whipped. I bet his wife holds a $7/hour job at Wallmart near where they live and makes is ass drive further for a higher paying job. Whatever reason, he is a sucker.

edit:maybe he lives a double life? I just saw Mr and Mrs Smith. Could be a hit man or he is banging some chick at work. Imagine, your wife wouldn't drive that fricken far to check up on you.
