Look what I cooked for Dinner
Tonite, I had one of my favortie exotic dinners. Mantis Shrimp
Heres what they look like side by side

The Claws are surprisingly sharp

Resembles a Praying Mantis

Side View of this wierd yet tasty creature

The Tail, still has its crustacean traits

Here are its legs which it walks on

Here is one of its arms located in the upper thorax

Here is a comparison of its size.

Mantis shrimp cooking in the oven

Done and smells delicious

Mantis shrimp Meat, ahhh what a delicacy

Taste like a mix between shrimp and Lobster.

I have never even seen that before. Whats the taste like? Whats the cost per pound?
That is one of many species. I am glad you eat them. The more you can keep from finding thier way into my saltwater tank, the better.
Seriously, these little nightmares are the most destructive things ever to see the inside of a live rock tank. If you buy live rock and get one of these guys in there, kiss your fish stock goodbye. Almost impossible to catch and stealthy as hell.
Bon appetite!!! I hate those things
More nightmare fuel for you guys:

yuk I hope they taste good
