Default Lower Speed Limit

This moron is proposing this:

"An influential Republican senator suggested Thursday that Congress might want to consider reimposing a national speed limit to save gasoline and possibly ease fuel prices.

Sen. John Warner, R-Va., asked Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman to look into what speed limit would provide optimum gasoline efficiency given current technology. He said he wants to know if the administration might support efforts in Congress to require a lower speed limit.

Congress in 1974 set a national 55 mph speed limit because of energy shortages caused by the Arab oil embargo. The speed limit was repealed in 1995 when crude oil dipped to $17 a barrel and gasoline cost $1.10 a gallon.

As motorists headed on trips for this Fourth of July weekend, gasoline averaged $4.10 a gallon nationwide with oil hovering around $145 a barrel...."

What a dog humper

Can't afford gas take the bus , it's bad enough we cannot use the full potential of our cars now this a$$wipe wants to choke us down even more. If government told you I know your house has 5 bedrooms but you can only use 3 people would complain. Yet you buy a car that does 150 yet you can only go 65 and everybody is okay with this.

Think about this as they try and take away your gun rights and dictate terms to us. Baby steps, so nobody notices.

Are u ****ing kidding me? Your comparison make no sense. Please use an analogy that make more sense. How does using 5 bedrooms hurt anyone? Imagine the consequence if people drive 150mph as a regular thing on the street.

Ever heard of a little thing called the autobahn ? Less people die there compared to the US with equal miles travelled

Guess when you actually have to learn how to drive vs. here when you can walk into the DMV give the wage slave about $20.00's you can walk out a driver.

The Germans also have a little thing called the "Ring" where they trust you to drive your car flat out.

Want more examples little boy ?

^^^^Once again, you just prove my point that you are an idiot. Can you keep it in the U.S. please? Who give a **** about what the Europeans does? I do want more examples, something more relevant IN the U.S. would be nice. How old are you? You called Sen. John Warner, R-Va an idiot and not that I'm disagreeing with you, but you are not far from him either. You've just stated how easy and inexperience it is over here to get a driving license and you want to...........I rest my case your honor.
