So what you guys saying is we should have Autobahn here in the U.S. knowing it mostly likely going to turn into A DEAD ZONE? We all agreed that the process for obtaining a driver license here is too easy and too many people with one shouldn't even allow to drive have one. I mean WTF!!! I never said I agreed with the proposal of lowering the national speed limit, but using his examples are ****ing retarded.
Sure, I love to have an Autobahn here, but I don't think as a whole we are ready for it. Lots of of things the European and Asian does that we should try to follow, but I don't think Autobahn is one of them.
We all read the story of a 19 years old boy took his rich dad M5, crashed, and killed his friends with it. They said alcohol was not involved, which I think is BS. Now, imagine there a place for this idiot to go to that allow him to drive as fast as he can.
Id say 9 out of 10 speed limit fan boys are mathicatically and physics knowhow retarded. Lets talk probability of high vs low speed and driver attention and reaction. Its a NHTSA fact that drivers who driver the minimun or slower are generally known to be less aware and responsive to their surrounds and more likely to cause higher congestion levels in roadways. We can piss all day about speed limits and safety and all that shit, but i got an idea, get off the soap box and lets see some updated speed surveys that are grosely outdated...

I get worse gas mileage in my S when cruising in 6th at 55mph than I do cruising at 85-90. I just finished a 600 mile trip in my S I got about 28.5mpg cruising at 85-90 the entire time.
