I was going to add that third point as well... But I also use normal headphones on my iPod because the Apple buds suck.

So this is just a processor upgrade?
Basically, the MPB also got the multi touch touch pad that the Air has.

I'm gonna wait till quad core processors and blu ray drives are available. my first batch macbook with 2gigs of RAM is still a really nice computer.

3. Computer idiots like me who would rather use a Mac than try to keep a PC updated, virus-free, spyware-free, etc etc etc. As a pure email/internet/music/picture machine, my Mac Mini is perfect, and since it's in my condo (not out on the streets) no one really knows I have it.
Oh yea that's me. I'm not a computer a idiot though, but I'm definitely not computer saavy. I was using my friend's macbook and it absolutely blew me away. She's had her macbook for close to 2 years now and it still ran so smooth and quiet. She told me it's actually slower than it used to be, and that's what sold me.

I'm so frustrated with Windows and all the bloating issues. I never thought I'd say it, but I'm a Mac convert!

kinda sorta...

the "chip" size is the same (same sockets). the process shrunk from 65nm to 45nm (penryn is a merom shrink, a tic in intel speak), which allowed intel to put in a larger cache since the core is roughly unchanged (some perf issues were addressed among other things). turned up the clock freq a little, added a deeper power save mode, etc, etc... pretty much an incremental update.
