Default Machine that lets you stay awake

IF
someone was to make a machine, to wire your brain to work like dolphins, where one side of the brain sleeps, while the other side is awake, and then it just swaps, to where you would never have to sleep, would you do it? (cost not an issue, and no other strange effects. Just, never get tired)

No considering certain side of the brains controls certain functions of the body and, obviously, the mind.

no side effects and you don't lose any of the benefits of sleeping (some studies have suggested the brain does a lot of work while you sleep, such as reinforce memories or something)? i think i would. the reason why sleep is so awesome is because you get tired and need to recharge. if i didn't get tired i wouldn't go to sleep.

well if you were to turn off one hemisphere, then that side of the body would become paralyzed. if you could control this turning off in some way, then you would still lose control of that entire half of your body. so if u disable your right hemisphere, the left side of your body would be asleep as well and you wouldnt be able to control it at all beyond any quick reflexes that your brain controls.

perhaps if this machine came with the technology that allows you to hotwire yourself into the autonomic nervous system? then it would be pretty fun, but you'd also have to consciously control a ridiculous amount of information, and then it'd be no fun!
