what about the body's fatigue, not just the mind but the entire body

I would do it if the whole body was magically continuosly replenished.

I cant let my chakras deplete, man

Everybody is kind of off track here a little

the OP is asking if sleep was not needed in any way, would you want to be active and concious 24/7/365.

Think about it. Sleep is a waste of at least a third of your life. If it was not needed at all, think of all the extra time you could spend with your family, doing hobbies, working whatever. Nobody wants to work more if they hate their job, but if you like what you do for work and make profit doingit, why not do more of it.

I'd be much more interested in a machine that makes you sleep peacefully and restfully for 8-9 hours.

but would you run out of things to do, given all this time?

i'd imagine after a few days, id just be too bored and would turn the machine off for a day.

Lots of assumptions need to make and those are very unlikely.

Given that:
Absolutely no side effects (no deterioration of health)
Brain can still function as normal (doesn't seem possible with only one side of the brain)

Hell, I'd definitely go for it. Imagine the time you save. You sleep 1/3 of your entire life.

SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK! I'm a night crawler so ... yeah that would be great.
