I love my bar: mostly professionals.

That said, network within your hobby clubs, church, community groups. . . FFS, go back to community college and take something that interested you that you didn't have time for while getting your Bachelor's.

bars are great, I watch the braves during the baseball season and when I can I go watch at a local sports bar (not often). Most guys with families dont really have time for friends. Between working full-time, working on an MBA, running a side business, spending time with wife and son, and all the other crap guys have to do I really don't have much time for new friends, much less the few friends I already have.

Heck, my very best friends go back to high school, not college. Something about being THAT young-and-dumb and surviving the stupidest things together. I'm too smart to risk death or jail today as much as when I was young.

Join some league. I played beach volleyball this summer and now one of the chicks who was on my team is gonna be my roommate as of next month. The whole bunch of us hang out at least a few times a month and we joined a dodgeball league for the winter.

I'm tired of the people I was meeting at bars because they all have turned out so far to be pooheads.

Finding the right bar can take years. . .
