marijuana
I have a friend who suffers from a chronic disease. This person has opted to taking a few hits of pot at night before bed as opposed to a pill for anxiety and one pill for pain.
It seems to be working, it helps with nausea and improves the appetite. This person is currently taking several dozen pills a day and does not want to take anymore pills, especially sedatives and pain killers which can be physically addicting.
And no, I feel as well as my friend pot is not physically addicting as opposed to the alternatives.
What do you think ?
Is this wrong?
I dont after all its natural

seriously - where the heck does this person get pot? that alone is a large risk isn't it....... I don't think they allow a "get out of jail free card" for that kind of use...except in california.
Watch out that the "friend" doesn't get the munchies and eat you.

They are trying to take away the permission to use pot for medicinal purposes. There is a legal marijuana field (in south OH or somewhere like that) where the government grows and ships the pot. That is probably where he gets it. I don't see anything wrong with it (or smoking pot in general, for that matter). No, I don't smoke pot, but most of my friends do. What if I have to get another job and take a drug test or get into trouble with the law? Drugs in my system won't help me accomplish my goals. As for your friend, tell him to toke away
i "know" someone that is an insomniac and has had sleep problems all his life. without assistance, he's up for 30+ hours at a time with only a few hours of rest, then after a few cycles like that he would crash for a couple days. since he started smoking pot he falls asleep without trouble and wakes up well rested and with a good night's sleep. now he has become more social, more productive and feels in control of himself and his life. In addition he now has a healthy appetite and is less angry/irritable/depress(ed|able).
A weaker short term memory is a VERY VERY VERY VERY small price to pay, even if the only benefit was being able to sleep on a regular schedule.
done socially it builds personal connections and increases networking opportunities. I can think of several business deals (non-drug related deals mind you) this guy made while smoking a bowl/bong/joint.
I say support his smoking if it helps him live a better life.

Since in another thread we were talking about cigarettes, Pot is way better for you then tobacco, what with all the additives and such. If the government could find a way to sell Pot without looking like hypocrytes, they would be on it in a second.
If it helps...Smoke it!
