Low to mid torque increase ... Exactly right, max horsepower ... A definite NO.

The bumper air intake slot looks like the copying work of the current Mugen S2000 bumper. Though, they probably came up with idea first or Japan is fine with such copying anyhow. But definitely no doubts about that, I think it should be quite a run for it's money. At that price tag though, it's damn expensive I must say for a Miata. I'll rather buy an S2000 instead.

If those are the Actual production specs then it'll be a very good match.

Those specs for the new MX-5 MPS are basically the same specs for a Hatchback with a motor swap and a lot of mods. And you guys know how Hybrids are.

The problem with the Miata/MX5 is that there are so many of them around. Take a look at the views of people on this board in the different posts and "exlusivity" comes up so often.

Whatever engine they put in the Miata, it is still going to look basically the same as the thousands that are already out there.

I have nothing against the Miata, but I think that the S2000 looks better, because it is that much bigger all round.

IMHO

That looks like a nice car and is welcome competition in my books. It will hopefully push Honda to release the s2000 Type R that i have wet dreams about.

TYPEEEEEEEEEE R ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This Miata still has basically the same less-rigid body and chassis that were originally intended for a less powerful engine.

S2000's X-frame chassis should still be superior.

Because, it just doesn't work ... Seriously. Nothing is all rounded, especially when it comes to powerband, torque and the complete package put together at the end.
