of course they oughta care about a fallen comrade. but they shouldn't care a TON more than when someone else dies.

 

I think its a real shame when anyone dies, but as a cop I feel you go into that field knowing that you have a greater chance to die for something stupid such as pulling someone over and they pull a gun on you.

I feel that the making a big deal out of when a cop dies is just part of their code, and how some people regard cops as better than the average person, even though alot of people have no respect for cops.

 

my brother is a cop in denver and he took me on a ride-a-long with him last year when i was out there on vacation.
there is soo much to explain why a cop is your best friend even when hes giving you a speeding ticket.
majority of police officers are good people and absolutely my heros. then there are the bad apples. the ones that truly belive that they are above you and i. those are the ones that give the good 90% of cops a bad name.

tell me, when was the last time you got butt raped in front of your house? when was the last time a car ran a red light and tore your car in half?
how many times have you seen an 80 year old lady get mugged for her purse?

NEVER and rarely if ever at all. cops are the reason why you never got your ass plugged by that 400 lbs black dude named Debo.
they are the reason why we can safely walk down the street.
they keep crime at the low level it is today. just the knowledge that they are around keeps people from acting on their criminal desires.

everyday that my brother goes into work and puts his life on the line, it is his partner that watches his back. it is his sargent that protects him. they are brothers in arms.
no matter who you are, when you loose a brother you just dont loose family, you loose a protector.
