Microsoft Paint not letting me save as JPEGs.. someone help

Default Microsoft Paint not letting me save as JPEGs.. someone help

Alrite I dunno wut happened, it just happened outa nowhere, when I go into mspaint and try to save as a jpeg file, it doesn't have that option, i can manually type it in, BUT all it is is saving a bmp with a jpeg extention, so the file is super big.. i can OPEN jpegs.. but can't save as jpeg.. anyone?

Has saving jpegs ever been an option for MS Paint? I thought it only saves bmps. At least that's how my copy is (I don't use it much though, so I can't really say).

thats just how it is man, you can't save a jpg on paint, only bmp.

get photoshop if you need a graphic editor

I know nothing about MS paint, but I know even photoshop wont let you save as a jpeg if you have multiple layers, which often get created when you edit the photo. I have to select "flatten layers" or something like that before I can save as a jpeg.

ok this feature USED to be available.. it worked before! it just isn't there anymore.. it used to be on the list of file types. it's just not there anymore.. and i DO have photoshop. it's just for simple things like screen shots and shit it's real quick to use paint, rather than waiting for photoshop to load up whcih takes froever
