I am officially never going to buy another CD again. They're now going after 12 year old girls who download TV theme songs.

F-U RIAA!!!!

Freaks! Greedy SOB's! They already get a royalty from every blank AUDIO CD-R sold. Soon they will be getting royalties from hard disk sales.

I thought I heard they're going after people who have over 200 or so in their shared folder. I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as you don't share music or you move them out of your shared folder.

They said on the radio this morning that she was downloading TV Theme songs, nursery rhymes, Christina Aguiluara (sp) and that was about it.

Sounds like this is the publicity RIAA wants to tell people they're not afraid to go after anyone.

I'd rather be in another country doing this, since they're far more likely to only go after people in the US.

No need to stop buying CDs. Just avoid those made by the people in this list:
http://www.riaa.com/about/members/default.asp

Limits your options quite considerably though.
