I agree about helping out our men & women financially. Who wants to sign up for the reserves and then get called up to have your family go on food stamps? I read it in the papers everyday.

I think compulsory military service *can* help shape a young man into a MAN - to teach responsibility, respect, and self-discipline. However, I really don't think draft will be back at all.
I used to have a big problem with the draft. Now that I'm 38, and older and wiser, I don't think it's such a bad idea after all.
