Is this the most ****ed up thing or what?
This Monday I got the news that my grandfather had died. He was hit by a taxi. This happened in Romania. Now here is the ****ed up part. The following day, the father of the taxicab driver, the owner of the car, called up the family and asked them to pay for repairs on his car. Seriously, don't people use their ****ing brains anymore? On top of that, as it turns out, the law there states that the guy needs to be dealing with his insurance company, not the victim.

Messed up. My condolences.
DOes he live there or was he traveling?
If traveling, sounds like the guy thinks its an American, so he must have money, why not try to make a buck.
I would tell this dude you can not talk to him because you are considering a wrongful death action against him for being the owner of the car. That should stop the calls real quick.

Sorry to hear about your lose, I just lost my grandmother 3 weeks ago. I hope everything works out, if not have some thugs call the cab company to pick them up somewhere and have them take care of business.
