Just bought 2 bottles of Joseph Phelps Insigna 2002 last Friday for $130 each, and 1 bottle of Conterno-Fantino Barolo`2001 for $100 as well. Have a few more but it seems to me that everyone so far prefers CHEAP wine.

Well, it wasn't actually my money but when I was on vacation I got comped "a bottle of wine", so I went for the $100 bottle. It was good - a little different - but I would never spend my own money on it. I've found plenty of $15 - $20 wines that I like just as much.

Personally - D'Arenberg Deadarm or 2000 Dow's
Corporately, me and two guys went in on a 1927 Dow's ~$500

Most I've paid per ounce - $40 for a glass of '63 Quinto Do Noval

about $40 for a bottle. Taste the same as the $15 bottle.

$30 from the store, $150 at a restaurant. (which probably would have been about $75 at a store)

I sat at a table where a couple ordered a bottle of Opus One at $1100. I had a sip and couldn't tell much of a difference from the $8 bottle I usually buy at World Market. Anywho, I'd rather drink Scotch and a good bottle of Oban or Lagavulin runs me $50

For y2k, I got a bottle of $100 champagne (Grande Dame something or other?)

There's a $25-$30 (store price) white wine called Conundrum I really like.

There's also a $6.95 bottle of wine from NY that's my favorite red.

you gave that monsta tree-fitty?

Sorry, I just had to throw that South Park bit in there. One of my favorites.

On a business trip with another individual we bought a $40 Pinot Noir, and then followed it up with a $80 Pinot Noir. I love company credit cards!
