Most handsome prop: Ju-87, I mean look at those cannons... they shredded tank armor as if it was swiss cheese

Interesting, i never thought of the Stuka as a strafing plane but more as a dive bomber. I guess it could do both, one over England and the other in North Africa.

The Spitfire was a gorgeous plane. I'd say that the modern Sukhois look much prettier than the MIGs. For US planes, I like the F-16 and F-22

If you can find a copy, the autobiography of pilot Hans Rudel makes quite a read. IIRC, he blew up 100's of tanks, sank seven ships, and shot down enough planes to have made ace in any other air force... all in Stukas.

BTW, I'll have to disagree and say I think the JU87 was an ugly pig of a plane. More or less replaced the Henschel HS-123 which I think was almost pretty by comparison.

my standouts are:

SR-71
a-10

harrier
mustang
zero
stealth bomber
waco
f-15
raptor
stealth fighter

but all planes and jets have an appeal to me

after everything is said and done... SR-71 gets my vote

These were my choices.

My grandfather flew the P51D.

I think I watched Top Gun 10,000 times when I was 3 or 4 years old.

What's not to like about it?
