There aren't too many cars that would make me physically ill.
PT cruise tops them all because it's now roaming the streets EVERYWHERE.
It's not even funny.
I should sue them for my suffering.

Yeah, but it is still the ugliest car I have ever seen. I'm sure you got it because you like the look. It's just not fair that they had to mass produce a car that makes me wanna puke!

LOL Tom:

Greg might want to be careful of anything he eats or drinks while visiting.

Annette's reply to Greg?

The other really weird part about this is magazine editors still tout the mustang as being one of the greatest cars produced. They comment about how well they handled, their european styling during that era etc. They handled like a pig. The transmissions were a pile of junk. Don't dare hot rod one without many mods. The only good thing that come out of it was the 289/302. Gas milege sucked for a car this size unless it was the C1 or C2 option. I'm sorry but I've never seen a european car look like a Mustang period and I grew up during this era. The PT Crusier is a fad and won't be around that long. When the recalls start on the engine and drivetrain things will change. Just like they've done on the Caravan for the last 6 or 7 years. The weird thing is people keep buying the problem! Everytime someone starts talking horsepower, especially now with the euro/import seen you find old Lee. Only problem there's no horsepower in this one. Just the retro styling of a nostalgic hot rod era. Nothing but pure physicology(spelling) and the American public has bought it once again. The hell with how it performs or if it will stay togather. It just looks so so retro!LOL What a bunch of crap.

Anyone think of the fact that the PT isn't a car?

Muz:
I will email you a couple over the weekend. Thanks for asking. Annette is proud of her new car.

Lako:

You are right, officially it is a truck.

JRM:

Ioccia(sp?)has been gone from Chrysler for many years. Chrysler is effectively run and owned by Mercedes as they recently fired the American president of Chrysler.

Also, you would indicate my wife is an idiot for buying the PT. Is this based on hands on knowledge of the car. And what exciting second car do you drive?

In your case...ignorance is bliss

And you guys cry every time someone disses the S2K without hands on knowledge. Guess it depends on whose ox is getting gored!

PT = panel truck. Ugly, mechanically undistinguished. the PT Cruiser is to cars as MotorTrend is to magazines. As to the Pacer, I actually had the pleasure of riding in a 304 cid V8 Pacer back when they came out. The car was solid, rode well, handled well, was luxurious and enjoyed strong acceleration. I always thought that Porsche stole the design for their 928 from the Pacer. AMC was the butt of jokes by GM, Ford and Mopar dealers. After all, modestly sized, unitized cars that handled well and lasted a long time sure looked like a joke to the big 3, builders of crap. AMC cars also performed very well. The 4.2 liter I-6 survives to this day as the 4 liter Mopar I-6 most recently found in Jeeps. 1962 unitized Rambler Ambassadors with 108" wheelbases and the AMC 327 CID V8 with 4 bbl and dual exhausts blew away more than its share of big 3 behemoths. Anyway, don't forget that part of AMC's heritage was the Hudson Hornet which utterly dominated NASCAR from 1951, the year it was introduced until 1954, the last year for the step-down, monobilt Hudsons - it did this with a 308 cid I-6, and just buried the Oldsmobile Rocket V8 and the Chrysler Hemi 330s.
