I don't get why this is such a big deal.. mp3s have been playable for a while on cell phones.. am I the only one who thinks that this phone is a waste of money?

now the Nano, on the other hand.. is damn sexy

Yes, but not immediately - I usually have a 3 month or more (usually way more) before integrating anything.

However, this gizmo satisfies 90% of what I was looking for in a "personal gizmo that truly improves what I'm already doing."

what's the big deal about it? I have a audiovox 5600 with Windows Media Player, 1GB miniSD card, I have over 200 songs on my phone already.

I think the big deal is that this phone works with iTunes. I also know that with iTunes or any other online music store (Yahoo!, MSN, etc) songs are 99

It uses USB...I don't know about Firewire.

the ROKR is based on the Motorola E398. The E398 has been out for awhile, just not in the US
