i saw my ex after a long time....8 years.....at a mutual friend's function.
she was still unmarried, no kids, had a job i guess, lived at home, drove a crappy car, etc....
i had been married for 6 years, fabulous wife, beautiful daughter, big beautiful home, 3 cars, awesome job, my wife doesn't have to work, etc.
you could tell she was being reflective....screw her!

to be honest, i dunno what became of her.
on a physical level, we were outta control....
but after a couple of years or so, i knew it wouldn't work out - we were too different when it came to our life goals. i was too driven and she wasn't driven enough....and i hate complacency.

I wouldn't call it an unhealthy obsession. I really just try to make the punishment fit the crime. . . and lately, it seems that a lot of people in this Forum insist on sharing with us how they supposedly get crapped upon.
