My flooded condo

did you manage to save her underwear too?

Man, you guys and the need for pics.
It occurred to me as I was frantically bailing out the sink that I should grab my camera, but I was more worried about my stuff getting ruined and scrapped the idea.Over the past 2 days I feel like Jerry Seinfeld when his girlfriend put something of his in the toilet and he was freaking out and tossing everything. I'm walking around with rubber gloves on throwing out things that were potentially touched, washing everything in the dishwasher twice with double the detergent packs on heavy wash. The feet of my appliances are getting disinfected, it's ridiculous. Again, at least it's not sewage or I would be moving my ass out of there.

Insurance ?
Building insurance would cover damage to the condo itself including tiling, carpets, kitchen and appliances, and basically anything else that is attached to the floor, ceiling or walls. The contents are my responsibility to cover unless the damage comes from another condo, ie windows open in the winter causing freezing pipes above me. Then it's their insurance that covers my damage, just like in a car.

Apparently QFT is not as commonly used as I thought

I'm actually in the process of getting renters insurance but they literally want every single item that I would potentially ever claim to be documented by title with model and serial numbers, price of original purchase, estimated current value and condition, etc etc. I've walked around and photographed everything over $50 in value but it's an annoying task.

As far as this insurance stuff goes, perhaps the little goon who works at the broker has me jumping through hoops for nothing. I can do a rough tally of the value of things in my home. If that's all it takes then I'll wrap it up tomorrow.
Thanks for the tips guys.
