Default my hand is burning!

not literally of course

when i cooked dinner today i made a very spicy dish that required slicing multiple jalapenos and red peppers. of course i used my bare hands to clean and cutting it. i think i sliced more than 10 pcs of large jalapenos and red peppers, and a few hours later, my right hand feels like it's on fire! i washed it multiple times, no dice.

so i'll have to remember not to scratch or touch important areas with my hand...

Try using Dawn-- which removes oil (And wax:-)) ... The heat in those peppers is OIL based... washing them isn't going to make that better..you need to remove the oil. Alcohol Isoproprate(sp?) is also something you can try... and DEFAINTELY do NOT touch any sensitive parts of the body including your face, eyes, and privates. ::: Raging Cajun/Hot food fan,

Take some real lemon juice or vinegar and wash your hands in it. The citric acid will neutralize the burn of the peppers!

Don't rub your eye until the burn is completely gone!! That goes for other vital spots too!
