Reasearch also showed me that the Gallardo was a bulletproof car, meaning that if I could afford the buy in I'd be okay with the maintainence.
It is funny you say that, I had a neighbor with a Countach and he worked on/maintained the car himself, he was a 'regular' guy that made it big in construction. Considering the nearest dealer was 200 miles away in Miami, he kind of had to.

I think that the maintainablity is due to the different philosophy of the founders of the respective companies, Ferrari was a race guy, Ferruccio was a tractor guy. Maintenance is a forgone conclusion with racing, but tractors need to be reliable and easier to maintain.

Very nice car Raj, I hope you beat the crap out of it once in a while, I know I would.

how ironic.. my cousin is named raj and is vying for anesthesiology residences at the moment.. he is finishing up his rotations..raj also owns a s2000
