the thread has since disappeared from the back lot, and I received a PM that said "Your thread has been moved to the admin section. I will see what they have to say."
I'm just wondering if there's any other input as well...
is off topic enough? does back lot not go far enough? am I pushing my boundaries/luck and about to get the banhammer?

I hereby announce my total disappointment with this forum subsection and the nazi-like rules (1) that keep it from reaching its full potential.
I can only imagine how far we could take the back lot.... the things that could be discussed, the jokes that could be told, the pics that could be shared, and the amazing stories and anecdotes we could all tell each other.
within a few months, it could be like 4chan, minus the retarded anon's, a thousand times slower, and not nearly as homoerotic.
instead, we have a slightly more risque off topic section that costs $20+/year (which actually keeps some of the more "quality" posters out). I don't understand why we can't have a *completely* uncensored place. and especially one that says "No kids! Members 18 years of age and older only"
why can I post pictures of hard drugs, but not of huge jugs?
the rules state we can't show photo's that contain "full or partial nudity or is sexually suggestive and not safe for work (NSFW)," and yet the forum description describes the back lot as "NSFW," "You've been warned," and again, "Members 18 years of age and older only." I've been on auto forums that have had nudity even in the public domain, let alone the members-only domain. so what gives?
and since when are dead baby jokes so bad as to be deleted from a so-called "mature off-topic" section that is members only, no guests allowed? you know, judging by recent posts, latent racism seems to be ok. so how about gay jokes? or misogynistic humor? dirty irish limericks? whats ok and what isn't is a pretty ugly grey area, that apparently can only be defined by two mods....
I'd really like to know where the line is drawn: who is the one who says that a post/joke/thread its good to go, or it needs to be censored or deleted? who is the one who decides if something is tasteful or not? why can't you let the paying members decide what's tasteful and what isn't, and as a group, we'll ostracize anyone who crosses the line? or do you not think we're smart enough to have at least a shred of decency?
please know, mods, I mean no disrespect. this isn't so much an attack on you, as it's a thread to allow some sort of open dialog between us, the lowly paying members, and you, the "unpaid volunteers." I mean, sure, there's the rules sticky.... but that doesn't really explain why those are the rules. I just want to clear a few things up.
it's just.... as I reread the rules, I feel like I'm being spoken down to. when you tell us to "(w)rite in complete sentences with punctuation and reasonably good spelling," and "(g)ibberish will likely be removed," I feel like I'm a child again. I understand that this forum was probably opened to clean up the drug chat out from off topic, but just because we're possibly under the influence doesn't mean we can't form a complete sentence, let alone a complete idea. something makes me think that the people willing to fork over their money towards this website are probably a little more savvy than the typical guests, and you don't once mention anything of the sort in the off topic rules. bottom line: it's insulting to *paying* members.
when you compare the back lot's rules ( https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=715363 ) to off topic's rules ( https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191304 ), back lot's just seems so much stricter. is this the respect that *paying* members are entitled to receive? you think back lot posters are more likely to post about subjects that are "hateful or incites hate against any person or group," or "depicts or suggests sexual acts."
I don't get it....

the no nudity thing never made sense to me, as many other forums allow that. it isn't as if there's some legal issue barring them from allowing it. and if you want to be respectful of women or whatever... uh, the crap in hotties isn't much better than nudity. but we've been over that, they haven't allowed nudity for some time. whatever.
but still, i was thinking that at least back lot would be the place for all the pure hilarity of offensive jokes, irreverent parody... that sort of thing. i thought, here is a place for me... uncensored and fun.
but no. joke thread immediately quashed. it was at that point that i lost interest in that forum, as it is clearly just a dumping ground for whatever the admins don't want to see in Off Topic.
