My week with the new neighbor....
hey mang.... harrisburg is only 3 hours from PGH if you want to commute.... I'll hook you up!
seriously... that was a freaking long as post.... I took my Ritalin midway but still couldn't finish.
anyway..... maybe explain the situation to the landlord and ask that they let you out of the lease early... I did that in a similar situation when i got out of college and lived in a shithole with an idiot above me who did her dishes at 5:30am every day and screamed profanities at me when i asked her politely to not do that.....
If your landlord is decent he will let you go.....

Ha, ha, ha! Sorry, you're just bringing back memories of when I lived in a crappy Sacramento apartment.
My 25 year old female neighbor, cute but three kids including a 13 year old (!), had psycho ex-husband disturbing my peace at all hours. He even used a hatchet on her door and car. Was funny and disturbing all at once to see him standing on her hood swinging a hatchet. Cops came over regularly but I get the impression they never caught him.
Do battered women attract each other? One of her friends was sort of a clone-situation, but not broken up yet, and her man would come over to abuse her (yell, push, throw things).
Neighbor-girl brought in a new live-in psycho to protect her (she told me he only has sex with her in the closets). That was more joy but I sort of liked him. One day he knocks on my door, "dude, can you hold these rifles for us? The cops are coming over and I'm not allowed to have firearms." Ah, the good old days.

Seriously though, I dont want to have to move. Its not ghetto were I live, but its close enough that I get more of the ghetto lifestyle here than I did before.
Thanks for the offer Scot, but Ive seen enough of your threads to know what kind of neighbors Id have there..
Im going to wait it out until the landlord gets back to see what happens..
Were still looking for smaller nice houses around here for like less than $120k. I figure I can get a mortgage and pay less than I do now every month.. AND actually have money going towards something..
What do you think?? Is it worth searching forclosed homes for something to buy??
They seem too good to be true, but we have yet to go look at any of them. So well see.
Thanks,
Dustin
