Were still looking for smaller nice houses around here for like less than $120k. I figure I can get a mortgage and pay less than I do now every month.. AND actually have money going towards something..
What do you think?? Is it worth searching forclosed homes for something to buy??

Go to this website and search your area... it is all HUD repo's.....
they list stuff for about 10 days as "owner occupied" first.... then if no one buys they move it to "all bidders"... so you would get first shot at these so maybe there is something worth while?

Read your lease if you want to move out. It should say something about your having "quiet enjoyment" of the premises. If you don't have it after notifying the landlord, then you have a good reason for breaking the lease.

seriously, is that necessary? i'm sure the women on this board don't care for distasteful remarks such as this.
you obviously have your priorities skewed....
why live in a run down neighborhood when you have such nicer things and "50k worth of stealable items in your place", that's your fault
becareful with the racial prejudices, not all of us are as shallow as you are when we talk about a group of people
move out.
